Our Story

In 2015,  Lexi begged her parents for a real American Girl  (AG) doll!   She was 3 years old & REALLY wanted a genuine AG doll. As a family of 7, we couldn't afford a $100+ doll.  So, when Lexi was just 4 years old, she and her mom started making simple doll crafts.  We rented a booth at a local church sale and profited over $150 at our first sale!
That was the start of Lexi's Dollhouse Dreams.

For the next few years, we participated in local craft shows and earned money to buy more doll things for Lexi and
to fulfill her dream of having a dollhouse.  Our family works together to imagine, create, pack, and ship over
100 different items for dolls and dollhouses.  Lexi has many AG dolls and an AMAZING dollhouse with lots of cool things.
We continue to participate in local and national craft shows, miniature shows, and doll shows and we now in October 20205, we are opening an online store to sell our miniatures.  Majority of our items are 1:12 (classic dollhouse scale).  Some of our items are 1:3 (AG scale) or 1:6 scale (Barbie scale).
We strive to make our items unique, realistic, and affordable for collectors.
Our items are made primarily from polymer clay and resin.

Lexi  (3 years old) wanted an American Girl doll, but her parents felt it was too expensive. They insisted that she earn the money for the doll herself.

"Little Things by Lexi" began.  Lexi and her mom started crafting together and selling at local craft fairs.

Lexi was very interested in American Girl dolls and wanted to create a big dollhouse.  She changed the business name to "Lexi's Dollhouse Dreams".  The profits from her sales funded a huge custom built dollhouse and a collection of American Girl doll furniture and accessories.

During the year-long quarantine due to Covid19, Lexi's mom lost her job, prompting the family to rely on the craft business for income rather than just a pastime and Lexi's spending money.  We began selling on a bit on facebook through fb marketplace.

As time passed, Lexi (now 11 years old), lost interest in her dolls. The focus shifted and Lexi's parents took on most of the crafting responsibilities.

The business underwent three significant transformations:

  • Embracing social media opening a fb page for the business.

  • The business focused on adding more content to our facebook page.

  • The launch of a dedicated website for direct customer sales.

We offer a range of handcrafted items tailored for collectors.
Our business aims to elevate dollhouses with our unique creations.
We hope our customers love our items as much as we love making them!
